The IGA Board of Directors for the Latin American region has selected Colombia to host the course due to its more than 100 years of experience in the hydrocarbon industry and its notable geothermal potential. Special reduced rates are offered for members of the IGA and the International Geothermal Association (IGA).

IGA and AGEOCOL announce geothermal drilling course in Bogota, Colombia

Registration is open for “Geothermal Drilling: Combining Oil and Gas Technology with Geothermal Knowledge.” This will be a two-day course on geothermal drilling taking place on 11-12 October 2023 at the NH Collection Bogota Teleport Royal in Bogota, Colombia.

The course is part of the international training program of the International Geothermal Association (IGA), in alliance with the Colombian Geothermal Association (AGEOCOL). About the course

“Geothermal Drilling: Combining Oil and Gas Technology with Geothermal Knowledge” will feature Sam Abraham, an industry expert with extensive experience in geothermal drilling in various countries, including Kenya, Indonesia, New Zealand, Turkey, the United States and the Caribbean. His experience in both sectors, Oil and Gas and Geothermal, aims to transfer his knowledge of the synergies between the two sectors.
